Hello and welcome to Hazards 31th LAN 2010

Thursday the 4th of november we open a four-day long LAN! As usual we are located in Fredrika Bremergymnasiet (map) but this time in another part of the school. This means we have around 400 seats available.

This LAN will see an increased focus on the regular LAN visitors but we will this event cooperate with QH-LAN that will take care of a QuakeWorld ProGaming area.

How much do the seats cost?
Pro-gaming:
QW: 300 SEK


Normal LAN seats:
Pre-paid: 150 SEK
Pay on the door: 200 SEK

Lottery
We will also have a lottery amont all prepaid visitors. At the prize ceremony on Saturday night we will drag the winner of a XboX 360 120 GB sponsored by MacSupport

What tournaments do we have?
We will have two major tournaments:
StarCraft 2 with 12 500 SEK in the prize pot.
QuakeWorld 1vs1 2vs2 4vs4 with 22 500 SEK i in the prize pot.

We will also have a tournament in StarCraft 1 with 1000 SEK as a prize. Do not hesitate to sign up, take this chance to beat our reigning champion Haravante that has won the last four events.

The usual play tournaments that everyone loves will of course be hosted as well.

What internet connection do we have?
This LAN we will have a 500 Mbit/s internet access and all participants will get a unique IP number towards the net. Most participants already have internet at home and are used to security patches, anti virus software and perhaps firewalls. However we would like to remind you that if you, e.g. need to reinstall Windows, disconnect the network cable.

One last thing - no matter how good internet we have it will never be enough for everything. We forbid any form of torrents as it uses enormous amounts of bandwidth for one user.

What kind of network do we have?
We will have a 100 Mbit/s switched network. Perfect to play all the latest games on without experiencing lag.

What can I eat at the LAN?
You are, of course welcome to bring any foodstuff you wish. If that option doesn't appeal we will have a 'kiosk' that stocks most kinds of sodas, candy, snacks and fast food (think frozen pan pizza). We are open 24/7 and stick to our low pricing. There is also several different restaurants in Haninge centrum which is a short walk from the venue.

Where can I sleep?
There are designed sleeping areas available, it is recommended that you bring a mattress and a sleeping bag as we do not supply any of the kind. We will have staff in charge of these areas patrolling to make sure they are quiet. If you do feel that someone is making too much noise, please alert one of them.

But I don't like playing computer games!
Don't fret, we have activities for you as well. We have play tournaments that you can participate in if you don't like computer games. We also have StepMania as well as Wii, PS3 and Xbox360 available non stop. If there is interest we can also supply board games.
